Pattaya —

Banglamung police arrested two Thai men for allegedly stealing a motorbike.

At 6:00 PM on August 13th, 2024, Banglamung police raided a house in the Nong Yai 14 area, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. The raid followed a complaint from the victim, Mr. Saroj Suwankhiri, 40, who reported that his gray-red Honda Wave 125 motorcycle was stolen around 4:08 PM on August 10th, 2024.

Mr. Saroj admitted he had left the key in the bike. After reporting the incident, he went to the media to ask for help in looking for his stolen vehicle.

Banglamung police raided the suspects’ house and arrested Mr. Thongchai Khaphondee, 35, and Mr. Chakrapan Bamrungphakdee, 31. Although the men initially denied stealing the bike, officers found Mr. Saroj’s stolen motorcycle, which had been repainted from gray-red to black, in their possession. Police also had CCTV footage that clearly captured the two suspects committing the thief.

During questioning, Mr. Thongchai claimed he tried to stop Mr. Chakrapan from committing the theft. On the contrary, Mr. Chakrapan reportedly confessed, alleging it was his first time, and he needed money to repay debt. The police remain skeptical and have detained both suspects for further investigation and legal action.
