Thailand reported 7,802 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 110 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 351 imported cases, marking a total of 8,263 daily infections, with 14 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.
This makes a total of 2,232,176 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.
Additionally, 2,163,836 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 2,865 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.
Among 7,802 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Chonburi with 847, ฺBangkok with 669, Ubon Ratchathani with 552, Samut Prakan with 542, and Phuket with 385.
The fatalities were 8 men and 6 women (All Thais) with an average age between 23 to 93. 88 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.
Two of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Nine of them were aged more than 60. Three of them did not report personal health problems.
Thailand has a total of 105,953,235 vaccines given, with 53,519 first jabs, 177,995-second doses, and 302,434 third doses given yesterday.
