Prime Minister-elect Srettha Thavisin said today (Monday) that what he intends to do with the media centres in Government House is renovation, not demolition.
He denied media rumours that he wanted to remove the centres. At present, there are two media centres on the ground floor of Government House.
“Please relax, I do not want to dismantle the media centres. I just want to improve them a bit, not much,” he said.
He said he visited Government House on Sunday to inspect where he and his deputies will work and hold meetings.
The media centres in Government House have been dubbed “the sparrow nests” by the journalists working there.
