Banglamung entertainment venues must officially register to become restaurants to allow alcohol sales, say district officials

Entertainment venues must be officially registered to be modified as a restaurant before being allowed to have alcohol sales.

Permission documents can be filed at the Banglamung District office by tomorrow at noon (January 13^th). (TPN media apologizes for the late notice but the official notification of this policy went out during the evening of January 12th from Banglamung officials, roughly 18 hours before the cutoff time.)

For more information please call 1337 or visit the Banglamung District office in person. The forms and communication around the order, notes TPN media, was made only in Thai and a Thai speaker is suggested.

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said last week that entertainment venues, pubs, bars and karaoke lounges were not fully opened but had only been allowed to be modified as restaurants.

Only restaurants that have passed SHA plus OR Thai Stop Covid Plus 2 (health assessments/certifications) can sell alcohol in Chonburi as a blue zone. Alcohol must stop being served at restaurants and converted restaurants (see below) by 9 PM.
